Student Training

Being a student is always fun because it is the first time you are away from your parents. Finally you’re in control of everything you do. No one can tell you what to do anymore, you can finally be your own person. Some people decide to party all night and not do any work all day while some people decide to work all day and sleep all night. The good university experience is built on a mixture of both. Living away at university means that you are there to study, so don’t forget to.

Sure your new friends may all be going out for the twelve night in a row, but you have assignments due in for the next day and you have 3000 words left to write, don’t give into peer pressure just choose to get the work done. Sure your ‘friends’ are calling you a loser but at the end of the day you have put the university first, which really is the most important thing.

You should never feel pressured into going out if you don’t want too. Sometimes people just don’t enjoy going to clubs so don’t force them if they don’t want to go. Going out to a club is supposed to be fun and if someone isn’t enjoying it, it can bring the whole mood down in your group of friends.

However having some free time is always important, getting too stressed can actually have negative effects on your work but only this time there isn’t anyone there to tell you to take a break. Now you don’t have to go out to take a break, it can be as easy as watching some television for half an hour or playing a video game for a little bit. Just getting away from the work is important because stressing over it never helps you out.

During my first year at university in the first semester I found it difficult to deal with the work given out. The two weeks could only be described as epic as deadlines for four modules came to a close. This meant making applications and websites as quickly as possible. By the end of the second week my sleeping pattern had been completely destroyed and I was completely stressed.

During the second semester I decided to not leave it all till the last minute and got the work done as quickly as possible. This meant I wasn’t as stressed and it also meant that I could go out more then and I wasn’t stressing about the course as much.

University starts back up tomorrow, but its okay, today you can continue to relax, get a little work done if you want but no one is forcing you, you are living by yourself!
